The horn doesn't work at all even when locking with the keyless fob. Cruise control doesn't seem to work at all. I can engage the e-brake and the light won't turn on in my dash. None of the controls on my steering wheel work at all.

Approximately 15-20 minutes after i got home from work my 2001 ford expeditions catches on fire. We, my wife and 3 kids here a loud pressure sound go off outside. Not sure what was going on, we run to the front door and as my wife opens the doors she screams that the house is on fire. We run back inside, she calls 911 and i take kids safely through the back yard. I got back inside the house and open the garage door…

My chevy impala few months i filled up with gas all the way and when i go t on the interstate the fuel gauge went down from full to half full of gas . This is very dangerous because no mechanic knows what seems to be the problem and it is very dangerous because i really don't know how much gas i have in the car. It can turn to empty tank in 20 miles of distance . When i add up more gas to it turns back to full. I…

On the morning of january 26, 2012 i parked may car at my employee parking lot at approximately 5:50am. I head to work like any ordinary day, and at approximately 8:30 am, i had co-workers informing me that my car was on fire. I ran out to the parking lot and found my car in flames. My 2001 ford expedition eddie bauer caused the two cars on my sides to catch on fire as well. When the fire department arrived it was…

Electrical: windshield leaking for a few years. First a small leak and did not think much about it. Now it seems to be greater leaks into the car when it rains- leading to electrical issues such as dash lights go out, blower stays on, fuel gauge does not read right. Radio sometimes will not work right and the lights go out. Fuel tank: issues from day one - floats did not work right, now gauge does not read right,…

The spark plug exploded from the cylinder head due to a mechanical defect in my cylinder head, and my expedition is the only vehicle i own which legally fits all of my children in their booster seats. The ford motor company won't fix the problem unless i pay them $750, which i don't have, and don't believe i should have to pay to fix their defect. *tr

My 2001 ford expedition has unwanted electrical activity when the car is unattended and has ran the battery out. It can cause a fire. I have been informed that it is a leaking windshield and is a common problem in this year of vehicle. The dealership says that the gem and fuse box were getting wet. The electrical items could start a fire. *jb

Underbody spare tire carrier/winch cable failed causing the spare to fall into the road. I believe that there is a small metal piece pressed onto the end of the cable which broke off. No accident or injury resulted but if the tire had fallen at highway speed it could have killed someone. *nm

Beginning about 8-12 month's ago, the right rear child safety lock frequently switches from the "unlocked" position to the "locked" position, approximately every 3rd-to-4th time the right rear door is shut. This malfuntion of a safety feature creates situations where the passenger is locked within the car and cannot let themselves out unless the door is openned from the outside.

Accelerator Pedal · Unknown Or Other

The gas pedal on the adjustable pedal system will on occasion wedge under edge of floor mat. Floor mats i have are oem parts that came with the vehicle. Problem has happened twice in 2 months, once at 75mph, and the other at 5 mph. Second incident caused accident. Driver side floor mat is secured to floor carpet with "retainer" mechanism (hook) this is a very dangerous design flaw in the adjustable pedal system and…
