Traffic on hwy came to a sudden stop from around 60 mph. I applied the brakes very hard and came to a safe stop. The vehicle behind me did not stop and rear ended me at a high rate of speed. I was in stop and go traffic and rear-ended another vehicle, veered to thhe side of the road and had to run through an iron gate to avoid injuries to pedestrians and ultimately crashed into a tree. Seat belt was attached the entire time, but not one air bag made an attempt to deploy.
