2023 Ford Expedition Owner’s Manual — Opening and Closing the Hood

Maintenance

WARNING   WARNING:  Make sure that you fully latch the hood before driving. Failure to follow this instruction could result in personal injury or death.


Hood Release

  1. Pull the hood release handle under the left-hand side of the instrument panel.

Hood Release Handle

  1. Pull the secondary release lever under the front of the hood near the center of your vehicle.
  1. Raise the hood until the lift cylinders hold it open.
  1. To close, lower the hood and make sure that it fully latches.
