2023 Ford Expedition Owner’s Manual — Starting and Stopping the Engine – Precautions
Starting and Stopping the Engine
The powertrain control system meets all Canadian interference-causing equipment standard requirements regulating the impulse electrical field or radio noise.
Note: If you use your vehicle regularly above the altitude of 5,000 ft (1,524 m) and under the temperature of -4.0 °F (-20 °C), it is recommended to use the alternative engine oil. See Capacities and Specifications.
If you stop your vehicle and leave the engine idling for long periods, we recommend that you do one of the following:
- Open the windows at least 1 in (2.5 cm).
- Set your climate control to outside air.
